For someone coming into the SEO world the first time it can be a bit of a daunting task trying to work out one thing to do to get your campaign ready to go. It’s a terrifying prospect for the virgin Online marketer as there’s a big downside to SEO that the majority of people don’t tell you – it will take a very long time to have any effect.
This is a problem because surely if you’re doing lots of work on your SEO you’d like so that you can notice that it’s worked pretty quickly. Should I must wait monthly before I see any difference inside my rankings then how am I going to know that I’m doing the right things? For once, it’s not really that challenging to get on the initial step of SEO which means you can be fairly certain you are carrying out the right thing fairly in early stages by simply following a few basic rules.
As an example, the key on-site thing you have to keep in mind is your “title” tags need to have your keywords within them in order to provide Google an understanding of the items your online page is all about. These tags are much more essential that the content of the page itself so you have to get it right and it needs to be relevant to your keywords.
So, the amount of keywords and are there any special ways you can format it in order to help your SEO efforts? Actually, no. The principles are quite simple – make it to just a couple of keywords and be sure they’re alphanumeric only. Simple.
As an example, should i was selling blue widgets for cars, I might format my titles tags to “blue widgets – blue car widgets” and that’s regarding it. Why the bar “-” character? Well this serves to separate the keywords and generally seems to work with Google too – using this bar will tell it that the keywords should be consumed in isolation.
Now we’ve got that done (yes, that’s all we really need!) what next? Well now we need backlinks and that’s the key to great SEO and it’s the thing that a lot of SEO experts will tell you to pay attention to – including me.
Backlinks are merely the links that can take people to your site from somebody else’s website once they click on it. Simple really, but how can you have them?
Previously many people have been tempted to cover them using websites that appear to allow you to buy thousands in a go – but are these worth the money? Well, perhaps they work for you, but there’s every chance that they won’t work in the long-term because Google has a dislike for these sorts of link. It actively discourages using paid-for links and instead prefers that you receive them naturally. But is there a means of ‘boosting’ the natural efforts?
Needless to say there is certainly! You can do this easily by creating lots of blogs and articles and including your links inside them. So here’s a quick run-down of the things that you have to do to start.
First of all, create yourself a variety of accounts on various blogging and article websites – there are numerous about but you could get started with Blogger, WordPress and Typepad. Then, create an article and post it to each and every one. The key now is to buy your keywords within, and here is the technical bit – don’t worry though, it’s easy!
What you should do is to simply select one of many keywords inside the text that is equivalent to the keywords you need to be found for and give a link back to your website. You can do that by clicking on the word (highlighting it) and azhigg clicking on the little ‘link’ icon inside the toolbar in the blogs above. Then, within the box that pops up, simply type in the URL to your website and then there is the link!
It’s best to avoid anymore than two in almost any particular article, but when you retain doing that, you suddenly get yourself a large amount of backlinks!
